On 27th September, the NKES High School and Junior College Management, staff, and students bid farewell to the outgoing Headmistress, Smt. Uma Maheswari, who served the institution as a teacher and headmistress for the past 24 years. The retirement function was held in the school assembly hall.
The event began with a warm welcome for the retiring Headmistress and her family, led by the management, accompanied by an enthusiastic band, NCC cadets, Lazim performers, and the staff. Paying tribute to the God of wisdom, she entered the auditorium, where students greeted her with a welcome song and dance. Shri Prakashchandra, the school supervisor, welcomed the gathering.
A video presentation highlighting memorable moments from Madam's years of service, along with best wishes from former and current colleagues and family members, was shown. Smt. Shubhangi Shirsagar, a teacher, gave a brief overview of Madam's service.
Shri Parth Sarthi Naik, the President, along with all the members of the management committee, felicitated Madam. Additionally, all departments of the NKES society offered their felicitations. Students expressed their love and admiration by creating a mesmerizing backdrop, portrait, greeting cards, handmade gifts, and bouquets.
Senior Teacher Smt. Aparna Mokal from the High School, Smt. Luvita Bangera from the Junior College, and Miss Gauri from Class 8B shared their heartfelt sentiments on behalf of the staff and students, respectively.
Shri Parth Sarthi Naik spoke about Madam’s unwavering dedication to the development of the school, her love for students, and her eagerness to learn new things. The Headmistress, although filled with emotion, thanked everyone who had been a part of her journey. She also extended her gratitude to Smt. Nitina Shukla for organising the function.
