Navratri, one of the most significant festivals, is celebrated to honour Goddess Durga. At NKES High School, the festival was observed with deep spiritual enthusiasm and devotion from 3rd to 12th October. The celebrations were attended by all members of the NKE Society, including administrators, teaching, and non-teaching staff.
On 10th October, special Poojas were conducted: Saraswati Pooja, Durga Pooja, and Kanya Pooja. Little girls dressed as Navdurga further enhanced the religious spirit. Kanya Pooja highlights the tradition of respecting and protecting the girl child. The chanting of slokas by each incarnation of Durga was both ineffable and awe-inspiring.
After the Maha Aarti, prasad was distributed among the devotees.
